Internships
Join us at JAR Farms for a one or two week internship! Whether you want to learn about organic gardening or building cool stuff at the workshop, Jack and Athena would love an extra set us hands at the farm to share the experience. We are currently in the process of determining the topics we need to cover for our Speaker Series, Workshop Series, Life Skills Series, and Farm to Table Series, while working on the requisite permits and licenses to operate.
While we are currently unable to offer monetary compensation, room and board (plus beach and pool sports) on the farm is part of the internship program.
Project Examples:
Set up the Fusion Mineral Paint workshop to upcycle furniture in the art studio
Learn from the best land-use attorney on how to responsibly structure the farm to benefit our community
Learn how to design and setup the optimal chicken coop or beehive (ours are twice as productive)
Participate in various water conservation projects on the farm
Set up composting stations to jibe with the organic gardens and orchards
