While consuming raw local honey to fight seasonal allergies or milk thistle, dandelion, or turmeric to address inflammation may be harmless at worst, some natural remedies could potentially cause harm. For example, some consider melatonin to be nature’s gift to fight insomnia, but it’s possible that its prolonged use trains our body to forget how to make it naturally.
