Food is Medicine (Part 2) – How Gut Health Affects Brain Health

Date: TBD

Much has been reported recently about how the stomach—the “other brain”—affects overall health and wellness. Trish Fahey Jacob, one of our moderators, has spent years researching and practicing the benefits of maintaining a healthy gut after the passing of our beloved neighbor Robin Williams who suffered from Lewey Body Dementia, a buildup of protein in the brain–a byproduct of gut microbes breaking down food in our digestive tract–which affects mood, cognition, learning, and memory.
